Hereby I declare that it is not my intention to glorify weapons of war by setting up this website. Instead, this website is being created to pay tribute to Walther Thiel and his life, his outstanding talent and his scientific work, so that he and his work does not become forgotten. It is not the goal of this website to make a political statement, and I would like to distance myself strongly from any kind of antidemocratic ideologies.  

Furthermore, I would like to state that I deeply regret the casualties caused by Aggregat 4, and my condolences go out to anyone who suffered from the use of it. I strongly oppose and regret the use of the rocket as a weapon of war.

I am very proud that the research and scientific work of my great-uncle Walter Thiel contributed in exploring space. Walter Thiel and his colleagues from Peenemünde enabled man to set foot on the moon, and satellites to make daily life easier for all of us.
